Easy Sticky Sweet & Hot Chili Wings February 3, 2016 18:56

1/4 C Healthy Gourmet Kitchen Sweet Chili Jam (or 2 Tbsp per lb of wings)
2 lbs chicken wings (preferably free range)
2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 Tbsp Rice Vinegar
1 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
1/2 tsp fresh ginger or crystalized ginger if you don't have fresh
1 tsp water
Scallions, thinly sliced for garnish (optional)

Put sweet chili jam, EVOO, vinegar, soy sauce, ginger and water in small pot. Heat over medium low heat a few minutes until of a thick sauce consistency. If necessary add another teaspoon of water or if too thin add another teaspoon of sweet chili jam. The "chili's" in this are Habanero's and pack a little heat and a lot of flavor.

Toss wings with mixture and place in bowl, cover and refrigerate for two hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 400 F. Place wings on baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.

Remove from oven, top with sliced scallions and serve. If desired, melt a little sweet chili jam to serve as a dipping sauce.
