Whole herbs and spices hand mixed are great for pickling cucumbers, green beans, beets, peppers, carrots or sliced red onions. It's versatile and can be made both sweet or savory.
Add 1 1/2 tsp of pickling spice to a pint size jar or 1 tablespoon to a quart size jar. Basic pickling directions are included for refrigerator pickles.
Enough spice for 4 quarts of pickles.
Leftover pickle juice is great, you can mix into salads or salad dressing or even reuse to pickle red onions which are great on sandwiches.
